Dined here for our anniversary meal on 22nd August, what a lovely place and love the decor , its very cosy and intimate , the service and food was amazing, I highly recommend you try for yourself , but make sure you book as its not a big place and is very popular. Well done to all the staff your all doing an amazing job and we will definitely be back soon next time we are back up in Elgin.

Forget the disappointment of Elgin’s much run down centre and high street. We used to live in the area some years ago. The Drouthy Cobbler is Elgin as it used to be, lively and bright. So it’s worth seeking out. The staff are on the ball and fun to talk with. Pity they don’t serve a local beer though. Would call in again when next here.

Where to begin? We were looking for a Sunday Roast Beef Dinner in Elgin and came across The Drouthy Cobbler and reserved a table. From the minute we arrived we loved the atmosphere! We had an excellent seat at the back of the restaurant. The service was excellent and we enjoyed some drinks. We ordered the Roast Beef Dinner for Two and it was absolutely divine! Coming from Western Canada with Scottish and English grandparents, my bar for a good roast beef dinner is quite high. The meal at The Drouthy Cobbler far exceeded our expectations. Every single part of the dish was cooked perfectly and the seasoning on the food was well balanced to compliment the meal but allowed the roast, yorkshire pudding and vegetables to remain the star of the show. The gravy was also perfectly done. I would recommend anyone wanting a home-cooked meal better than Grandma or mum could do to stop by and try it out. The drinks and dessert were also amazing and they had the most amazing playlist going over the sound system the entire time. 100/10 stars!

The atmosphere and mood here were delightful. There is cozy indoor seating and an adorable outdoor terrace area. The staff were all very friendly and accommodating (allergen conscious). Food phenomenal. We attended for lunch and ate from the tapas style menu, which were perfect portions for two and decently priced. We were ready to go right back for dinner!

We were lucky to get a table without a reservation – the restaurant is quite busy. The food is traditional and truly recommendable. Friendly and attentive service.

Lovely place in Elgin, nice atmosphere, attentive service. I entered as a single guest and was treated with great care. I liked the whole ambiance and the food. I would come here again, for sure.

We enjoyed our lunchtime visit here. The bar is tucked away up a wynd in the centre of Elgin and was pretty empty when we arrived. The inside of the bar is cozy and traditional and, for the hardy there is outside seating.

Stopped for lunch. A little challenging for us to find but we’re not locals! The dining area is so clean and well maintained. The server was helpful and pleasant. The food was delicious. Hubby had the ham and chicken pie and it was fantastic. The patio looked so quaint. Would definitely return.
